Case Study

The Problem
Flinders University faced a significant challenge, struggling with product development, fulfilment, shipping, and the management of its online store, in addition to creating its own merchandise. Being understaffed and having limited storage space, the university was desperate for a creative solution.

Before contacting us at Add Value, Flinders University had attempted to manage these tasks in-house. This approach wasn’t working, however, with resources already spread too thin.

Our Solution
After a thorough consultation and understanding the university’s major pain points, we offered to take over the management of the online store and fulfilment. This also meant creating fresh designs for new merchandise, including a diverse range of products from custom socks and face masks to jumpers and gym wear. Even more excitingly, we assisted with the university’s indigenous reconciliation project action plan.

The most cost-effective solution was for us to take over the entire process, considering the university’s budget, quality standards, and unique selling propositions. In addition, we managed logistics, the returns process, and stock levels, freeing up university staff members for other tasks.

The Outcome
Flinders University staff members saw an instant decrease in their workload, and the process of developing new merchandise was much faster. Importantly, the university’s students now had access to previously unavailable merchandise. Our collaboration with Flinders University continues today, and we continue to add value at every step of the way.
