Presiding Officers and Clerks Conference
The Presiding Officers and Clerks Conference reached out to us to help them with their Conference Bag. The conference was being hosted by the Parliament of South Australia in parliament house with attendees and speakers coming from across the Asia Pacific Region.
The team in South Australia came to us with a very specific brief for this Conference Giftpack, which was to make sure each item was a high quality, would be a useful item to utilise during the conference and that each attendee would be excited to take the gift cooler home and use it again and again.
While working on this project with the Conference organisers we kept the phrase reusable and useful in the back in of heads. As this conference was 53rd year of the conference the team also wanted to make sure our ideas for this project were out the box and we didn’t end up using the standard conference items and the attendees went home remember their time at the conference and in South Australia.
Monaro Conference Cooler Bag
Instead of jumping to the conference and event staple the faithful calico or non-woven tote bag we thought it would be better fitting to use a Cooler bag. This Monaro Conference Cooler was literally made for the job, the long handle and roomy interior makes it the perfect choice for this project.
This cooler was also a perfect fit for this brief, the adjustable strap, extra pocket and subtle branding made this cooler great for keeping all the conference goodies in and for work lunches and picnics afterwards.
Hurricane Senator Umbrella
The conference was to be held in the middle of winter here in South Australia and the weather can be somewhat unpredictable in our beautiful state, hence including the umbrella in the Gift Cooler Pack.
This compact umbrella fit perfectly into the cooler bag and would serve the attendees well during their time in Adelaide and any rain day after the event.
Dynamo Wireless Power Bank
These days it’s hard to be away from your phone weather for work or personal reasons, If you’re attending a conference from interstate or overseas it’s a perfect way to keep in touch with your colleagues and loved ones. These Dynamo Wireless Power Banks were an easy choice to include in the conference swag cooler to make sure everyone’s devices we’re charged throughout and also a great gadget for everyday use.
Polychroma A5 Notebook
Over the 5-day conference the attendees would be attending presentations and other events hosted by the Parliament of South Australia, so including the Polychroma Notebook was a no-brainer.
This sleek notebook in black was subtly branded in gold with the conference logo. This notebook is also a conference Favorite due to the ribbon marker and elastic band, so any notes are easy to find and refer to.
Solar Pen & Evermore Graphite Pencil
To compliment the notebook we thought it would be best to also include a pen and pencil for the attendees to make notes with during the conference. The Solar Pen and Evermore Graphite Pencil fit the brief perfectly, high quality and reusable. The Graphite Pencil particular did so as it boasts a 30,000 meter writing distance which makes it a brilliant addition to any Giftpack.
Cardrona Wool Blend Beanie
Being a winter event, the conference organisers were very keen to include this stylish beanie to keep everyone’s thinking heads nice and warm. These wool blend beanies have been decorated with a sleek Super Flex Faux Leather Patch which adds a both a premium look and feel to this winter essential.
Lanyard
We worked very closely with the conference organisers to make sure each item included in the Giftpack fit the brief being useful and reusable, which also applied to the conference lanyards.
We’ve all got a drawer full of lanyards, right? Or is it just me? Alternatively, they can something end up in the bin, so a standard lanyard wouldn’t work with the brief. Due to this we opted to go for the super useful Lumen Lanyard, which doubles up as a 3 in 1 charging cable for phones and tablets. A perfect gift to include to use during the conference and lets face it who doesn’t need a spare charging cable?
Conclusion
This was a super fun project to work on for the Presiding Officers and Clerks Conference organisers and we loved working with such a great brief. The project made everyone involved really think outside the box and step away from the usual conference and promotional product ideas to put together a Giftpack Cooler which people will hold onto and use for years to come.
Lets make Gift Coolers a thing, they look great, they’re useful and can be used over and over, specially when the pesky esky is a little too bulky to take to a party or picnic.
